Aston Villa faced off against Brighton and Hove Albion at the American Express Community Stadium earlier today as they hoped to earn a good result away from home. The Villans made a horror start to the game as they conceded the opening goal in the first minute when Alexis Mac Allister found the back of the net for the home side. However, the West Midlands club managed to net the equaliser in the 20th minute via Danny Ings’ penalty. Both teams went into the half-time break with a 1-1 scoreline.
It was Ings who scored again for the Villans in the 54th minute Unai Emery’s men sat on their lead well and earned a narrow 2-1 victory on the road.
