West Ham United will welcome Bournemouth to the London Stadium on Tuesday as they hope to return to winning ways. The Hammers will come into the match on the back of a 1-0 defeat at the hands of Liverpool in their last time out, so they will be hoping to produce better results in this home encounter.
David Moyes could set his side up in a 4-2-3-1 formation and will be hoping for Craig Dawson to return to full fitness in order to feature in the backline alongside Kurt Zouma. At the other end, Gianluca Scamacca will be handed the responsibility to lead the line against the opposition in this midweek contest.
4-2-3-1 West Ham United Predicted XI Vs Bournemouth
Defence
Łukasz Fabiański will feature in goal for the East London club after he conceded one goal against the Reds in his last appearance. As mentioned earlier, Craig Dawson will have to pass a late fitness test to feature alongside Kurt Zouma in the heart of West Ham’s defence as he is expected to return to the starting XI.
Ben Johnson will once again fill in at right-back while Aaron Cresswell hopes to put in a tireless shift as the left-back. Both of them will need to keep a good defensive shape at the back and get forward in order to cause problems for the opposition out in the wide areas.
Thilo Kehrer will offer cover for the centre-back positions as he drops to the bench for this Premier League fixture.
Midfield
The midfield duo of Declan Rice and Tomas Soucek will operate at the centre of the park as they try to dominate possession in the central areas.
The gifted trio of Pablo Fornals, Lucas Paqueta and Jarrod Bowen will function just ahead of them as part of West Ham’s attack. Both Fornals and Paqueta will have to carry most of the creative workload in order to create decent chances in the front of the goal.
Manuel Lanzini will take a spot on the bench as he waits for his chance to impact the game in the second half if needed.
Attack
As mentioned above, Gianluca Scamacca will lead the line on his own up top. He will fancy his chances of finding the back of the net and getting his name on the scoresheet this time around.
Michail Antonio will have to settle with a spot on the bench but might come on to influence the game in the latter stages if the Hammers are in need of a goal by then.
