West Ham United locked horns with Anderlecht at Lotto Park earlier this evening as they looked to earn a good result on the road. The Hammers made a solid start to the game but were held to a scoreless draw at the half-time break.

Gianluca Scamacca finally broke the deadlock in the 79th minute with a great finish as David Moyes’ men earned a narrow 1-0 win in the UEFA Europa Conference League.

Let’s take a look at how each West Ham United player fared during the contest against Anderlecht.

GK: Alphonse Areola – 7/10

The Hammers’ keeper made a couple of decent saves at the back and earned an important clean sheet on the road.

CB: Ben Johnson – 7/10

He produced a solid display on the defensive end of the pitch and will be quite happy with the shutout.

CB: Craig Dawson – 7/10

Dawson didn’t put a foot wrong when defending inside his half.

CB: Angelo Ogbonna – 6.5/10

Ogbonna produced a commanding display at the back and didn’t hesitate to put his body on the line when needed.

RM: Vladimír Coufal – 6/10

He didn’t do much wrong when defending at the back but lacked quality in the Anderlecht half.

CM: Manuel Lanzini – 6.5/10

Lanzini retained possession well but struggled to trouble the opposition defenders.

CM: Flynn Downes – 8/10

The talented midfield ace produced a matured display at the centre of the park. He was always willing to get on the ball and make things happen in the opponent’s half.

LM: Emerson Palmieri – 6/10

He performed his defensive duties well but offered very little in the final third.

CAM: Said Benrahma – 5/10

Benrahma struggled to influence the game on the attacking end of the field.

ST: Michail Antonio – 6/10

He had some bright moments in the game but failed to get his name on the scoresheet.

ST: Jarrod Bowen – 7/10

Bowen caused a lot of problems for the opposition defenders but didn’t manage to find the back of the net.

CM: Declan Rice – 7/10

The English talent added more energy and control to Moyes’ midfield.

CAM: Lucas Paqueta – 7/10

He had a few bright moments in the game after coming off the bench.

ST: Gianluca Scamacca – 7/10

The Italian forward scored the only goal of the game with a great finish.
