Arsenal will face Norway’s Bodo/Glimt as they make their trip to Aspmyra Stadium in Thursday’s Group A Europa League match-up. The Gunners will be looking to grab all three points in this European contest after recording an emphatic 3-0 victory against the hosts in the reverse fixture last week. The Premier League leaders will be coming into this match confidently as they also managed to defeat Liverpool 3-2 in their last outing.

Mikel Arteta will probably opt for the 4-3-3 formation but is expected to make quite a lot of changes to the playing XI for this away encounter. Eddie Nketiah will lead the charge against the opposition while Matt Turner operates in goal.

Matt Turner will get the chance to function in between the sticks for the Gunners hoping to earn another clean sheet similar to his last outing. Gabriel will continue at the back but Rob Holding will replace William Saliba at the heart of Arsenal’s backline.

Kieran Tierney will get the nod over Oleksandr Zinchenko in the left-back position while Takehiro Tomiyasu fills in on the other side as the left-back. Both of them will have to keep a good defensive shape at the back and will get forward to stretch the opposition.

Saliba and White will provide cover for the defensive positions and could come on in the second half if required.

Granit Xhaka, Albert Sambi Lokonga and Fabio Vieira will form the midfield trio as they try to dominate the battle at the centre of the park and distribute the ball efficiently to their teammates. Fabio Vieira will be tasked with creating some decent opportunities for others around him.

Martin Odegaard will be named on the bench and will be called into the match in the second half if required.

Gabriel Martinelli will be eager to put his pace to good use on the left flank while Marquinhos gets the nod over Bukayo Saka as he hopes to produce an influential display from the right.

As mentioned earlier, Eddie Nketiah will lead the charge for Arsenal on the attacking end of the field. He will fancy his chances of finding the back of the net and getting his name on the scoresheet.

Gabriel Jesus and Bukayo Saka will have to be content with a spot on the bench and might come on to influence the game in the latter stages if Arteta opts to call upon their services.
