Aston Villa entertained Chelsea at Villa Park earlier tonight as they looked to secure a good result at home. The Villans made a poor start to the game as they conceded the opening goal in the sixth minute when Mason Mount scored with a good finish. Steven Gerrard’s men went into the half-time break 1-0 down on the scoreline.
The West Midlands outfit failed to come up with a response after the restart and ended up conceding their second goal in the 65th minute when Mount found the back of the net once again. The Villans ended up crashing to a disappointing 2-0 defeat in front of their home fans which would mount even more pressure on Gerrard now.
Let’s take a look at how each Aston Villa player performed during the clash against the Blues.
