In a recent report from Liverpool Echo, it was stated that Liverpool are showing keen interest in signing Kamaldeen Sulemana from Stade Rennais. It was also mentioned that Jurgen Klopp has urged the Liverpool hierarchy to bring the forward to Anfield. The Reds are said to be ready to make an offer in the region of £30.5m for acquiring him.

Sulemana’s Recent Run Of Form

Sulemana has had a decent start to this season as he has put in some influential displays down the final third. He has managed to find the back of the net on one occasion and created two assists over 10 appearances across all fronts.

The Ghana international has performed consistently after averaging 0.8 tackles, 0.9 shots, 0.6 key passes and 1.5 dribbles per game in Ligue 1. He has also been tidy with his ball distribution after completing 85.1% of his attempted passes in the French top flight (stats via whoscored).

Should Klopp Bring Him To Liverpool?

Sulemana has got the technical qualities to hold possession up in the opponent’s half for his team. He excels at creating space for himself to get a few strikes in at goal. The Ghanaian forward can be a good finisher in the final third when he is playing regularly on the field. He has got the vision to create some decent plays for others around him but remains weak with his link-up play.

Still, the 20-year-old has got the potential to become one of the best in Europe and his skill set is no doubt good enough to feature in the Premier League. The future is quite promising for him as long as he continues to take strides towards improving himself with each year. He has been dubbed as the next Sadio Mane, so he could probably fill in his shoes in the foreseeable future while being versatile to play on both the right and the left flank.

Thus, it is only logical for the Anfield club to sanction the signing of this youngster in the next transfer window. Hence, it will be a good move for everyone involved as the player can also benefit a lot from joining the European giants while the Merseyside club invest in brilliant talent that can pay off in the future.
