Juventus will face Benfica as they travel to Lisbon this Tuesday night hoping to produce a better result in this Champions League encounter. The Turin outfit suffered a disappointing 2-0 defeat at the hands of Maccabi Haifa in the group H clash of the UEFA Champions League last time out, so they will be hungry to return to winning ways.
Massimiliano Allegri could opt for a 4-3-3 formation and is expected to name the same first XI for this game since the last outing against Empoli. We can expect to see Juan Cuadrado on the right-wing while Dusan Vlahovic and Mosie Kean lead the charge against the opposition.
4-3-3 Juventus Predicted XI Vs Benfica
Defence
Wojciech Szczęsny will continue to operate in goal for Juve after keeping a clean sheet in his last outing. Alex Sandro, Leonardo Bonucci and Danilo could form the backline at the heart of Juventus’ defence as they try to restrict the opposition from scoring in midweek.
Daniel Rungani will provide cover for the defensive positions by taking a spot on the bench as Gleison Bremer goes to the treatment room after suffering from a muscle problem.
Midfield
Adrien Rabiot, Manuel Locatelli and Weston McKennie will anchor the midfield for the Turin side as they look to establish their dominance at the centre of the park. The midfield trio will have to distribute the ball efficiently and create some decent chances in the attacking third while making a few decisive passes to the front two.
Juan Cuadrado will feature on the right flank while Filip Kostic tries to put in an influential display on the left. Both of them will need to be relentless on the flanks as they track back on defence and get forward to provide support from the wide areas.
Leandro Paredes will be available for selection on the bench as he waits for an opportunity to shine in the second half if needed.
Attack
Dusan Vlahovic and Mosie Kean will spearhead Allegri’s attack up front. They will be looking to get their name on the scoresheet and convert the opportunities created for them in front of the goal.
Fabio Miretti will have to be content with a spot on the bench but might come on to make an impact in the latter stages of the contest if Juve are in need of a goal by then.
