Chelsea locked horns with Brighton and Hove Albion at the American Express Community Stadium earlier this afternoon as they looked to earn a good result away from home in the Premier League. The Blues made a poor start to the game and conceded the opening goal in the fifth minute courtesy of Leandro Trossard’s goal. Ruben Loftus-Cheek scored an unfortunate own goal in the 14th minute before Trevoh Chalobah netted another own goal in the 42nd minute. Chelsea went into the half-time break 3-0 down on the scoreline.
Kai Havertz pulled a goal back for the Blues in the 48th minute. However, Pascal Gross scored another goal for Brighton in injury-time as Chelsea ended up suffering a humiliating 4-1 defeat on the road.
Let’s take a look at how each Chelsea player fared during the match against the Seagulls.

Chalobah was disappointing at the back and scored an unfortunate own goal just before the half-time break.
CB: Thiago Silva – 7/10
The Brazilian centre-back was strong when defending inside his half and made some important contributions on the defensive end of the field.

He had a really tough first half defensively and got replaced after the hour mark.
RM: Christian Pulisic – 6.5/10
Pulisic did his fair share of defending and engineered a couple of decent chances in the final third.
