Arsenal faced off against Leeds United at Elland Road earlier today as they looked to keep their excellent form going in the Premier League. The Gunners made a decent start to the game and got their noses ahead in the 35th minute courtesy of Bukayo Saka’s excellent finish. Mikel Arteta’s men managed to get into the half-time interval 1-0 up on the scoreline.
The North London club managed to defend their lead well in the second half and earned a hard-fought 1-0 win away from home which gave them a four-point lead at the top of the Premier League table.
Let’s take a look at how each Arsenal player performed during the match against the Whites.
GK: Aaron Ramsdale – 8/10
The English keeper made a few crucial stops at the back and will be quite content with the clean sheet.
RB: Ben White – 7/10
He was defensively solid but offered very little in the final third.
CB: William Saliba – 6.5/10
Saliba did what was required of him at the back and was strong in the air.
CB: Gabriel – 8/10
The Brazilian talent gave a good account of himself on the defensive end of the field and was a real threat in the final third.
LB: Takehiro Tomiyasu – 7/10
The Japan international did his fair share of defending and made one good run with the ball.
CM: Thomas Partey – 7/10
Partey anchored the midfield with conviction and was accurate with his passing in the middle of the park.
CM: Granit Xhaka – 6.5/10
He made two important clearances at the back and completed one good dribble from midfield.
RW: Bukayo Saka – 7.5/10
Saka scored the only goal of the game with an excellent finish. He was substituted in the 81st minute.
CAM: Martin Odegaard – 7.5/10
Odegaard caused all sorts of problems for the Leeds defenders and was a real threat in front of their goal.
LW: Gabriel Martinelli – 7/10
He managed to stretch the Leeds defence at times with his dribbling but was a bit untidy with his passing.
ST: Gabriel Jesus – 6/10
Jesus had a few lively moments on the attacking end of the pitch but there was no goal for him today.

He added more energy to Mikel Arteta’s midfield.
LB: Kieran Tierney – 6/10
Tierney was solid when defending inside his half.

He hardly had any time to influence the game.
