Chelsea will clash heads with Brentford at the Gtech Community Stadium this Wednesday night as they try to pick up a win on their travels in the Premier League. The Blues are enjoying a decent run of form at the moment after securing a 2-0 win away at Aston Villa recently.
Graham Potter will probably opt for the 4-3-3 formation and could make a few changes to his first XI for this game. Conor Gallagher will probably get a chance to impress from the start in this midweek Premier League fixture.
4-2-3-1 Chelsea Predicted Lineup To Face Brentford
Defence
Kepa Arrizabalaga will feature in goal for the Blues after keeping a well-deserved clean sheet in his last league outing. Kalidou Koulibaly will play along with Trevoh Chalobah at the centre of the Chelsea backline as they try to keep the Brentford attackers at bay during the 90 minutes.
Cesar Azpilicueta will focus on giving a good account of himself at right-back while Marc Cucurella hopes to catch the eye on the other flank as the left-back. Both of them will be eager to produce a solid display for Chelsea out on the flanks.
Midfield
Ruben Loftus-Cheek and Jorginho will function as the holding midfielders as they try to set the flow of the game in the middle of the park. The midfield duo will also have to figure out a way to engineer some meaningful opportunities for their teammates to find the back of the net.
Christian Pulisic might get another chance to put his pace to good use on the left flank while Conor Gallagher hopes to catch the eye from the right.
Mason Mount will operate in the number ten position after scoring a brace last weekend which helped Chelsea secure all three points versus Aston Villa. Hence, we can expect his confidence to be sky-high for this game.
Mateo Kovacic will probably be named on the bench as he waits for his chance to impress as an impact substitute if Potter decides to call upon his services.
Attack
Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang will once again lead the charge for the Blues in the final third. He would be eager to get his name on the scoresheet when he laces up to face off against the Brentford centre-halves in midweek.
Raheem Sterling will have to settle for a spot on the bench and might come on to influence the game in the second 45 minutes if needed.
