Manchester United faced off against Leicester City at the King Power Stadium earlier tonight as they looked to earn maximum points on their travels. The Red Devils made a good start to the game and got their noses ahead in the 23rd minute when Jadon Sancho scored with a tidy finish. Man United controlled the game well and went into the half-time interval 1-0 up on the scoreline.

The home team put on a little bit more pressure in the second half but Erik ten Hag’s men stood firm and secured a narrow 1-0 win away from home.

Let’s take a look at how each Manchester United player performed during the match against the Foxes.

GK: David de Gea – 7/10

The Spaniard had a comfortable evening out at the King Power tonight. He made one world-class save to deny Maddison’s freekick in the second half.

RB: Diogo Dalot – 7/10

He was strong in the air and proved his worth as a decent defender at the back.

CB: Lisandro Martinez – 6.5/10

The Argentine centre-back dealt with the danger when needed and made one good run with the ball.

CB: Raphael Varane – 7/10

Varane made a couple of solid tackles and didn’t hesitate to put his foot through the ball when Leicester were on the offensive.

CM: Christian Eriksen – 6.5/10

He was always willing to have a strike at goal and got himself into some promising areas inside the Leicester penalty box.

CM: Scott McTominay – 7/10

McTominay anchored the midfield well and made two driving runs with the ball from midfield.

RW: Anthony Elanga – 6/10

He struggled to get into the flow of the game and was replaced in the 58th minute.

CAM: Bruno Fernandes – 7/10

The Portugal international spread the ball really well in the opponent’s half and even got back to defend when needed.

LW: Jadon Sancho – 7.5/10

He had a few lively moments in the final third and scored the only goal of the game with a neat finish in the 23rd minute.

ST: Marcus Rashford – 7/10

Rashford picked up an assist for setting up Sancho’s goal. However, he was mostly quiet in the second half.

Substitutes:

CM: Casemiro – 7/10

The Brazilian talent helped Man United control the flow of the game.

ST: Cristiano Ronaldo – 6/10

He went close to scoring with his overhead kick.

CM: Fred – N/A

Fred hardly had any time to influence the game.
