Manchester United locked horns with Sheriff Tiraspol at the Sheriff Stadium earlier today as they looked to earn a good result on their travels in the UEFA Europa League. The Red Devils made a decent start to the game and got their noses ahead in the 17th minute when Jadon Sancho scored with a low strike. Cristiano Ronaldo doubled Man United’s lead from the penalty spot in the 39th minute as Man United went into the half-time break 2-0 up on the scoreline.

Erik ten Hag’s men sat on their lead well in the second half and earned an impressive 2-0 victory away from home.

The Spanish keeper made a couple of solid saves at the back and earned an important clean sheet this evening.

He was strong in the air and got stuck in with some solid tackles at the centre of the park.

Eriksen anchored the midfield well and made two inviting opportunities in the final third. He has got an assist to show for his efforts.

RW: Antony – 7/10

The Brazilian talent had a few lively moments in the final third and was tidy with his passing.

CAM: Bruno Fernandes – 7/10

Fernandes made a few decent runs with the ball but there was no goal for him this evening.

LW: Jadon Sancho – 8/10

The English sensation was a real threat down the left flank and opened the goal-scoring with a decent finish.

ST: Cristiano Ronaldo – 7/10

Ronaldo had a few strikes at goal and managed to get his name on the scoresheet in the 39th minute via the penalty spot.


CM: Casemiro – 7/10

The Brazilian talent offered decent protection for his teammates at the back.

LB: Luke Shaw – 6/10

He added more energy to ten Hag’s defence.

RW: Anthony Elanga – 6/10

Elanga offered very little after coming off the bench.

CB: Harry Maguire – N/A

He hardly had any time to influence the game.

LW: Alejandro Garnacho – N/A

The youngster came on for the final few minutes of the game.
