Everton will lock horns with Liverpool as they welcome them to Goodison Park on Saturday afternoon hoping to secure a win. The Toffees come into the match on the back of a 1-1 draw against Leeds United. The Reds, however, came out victorious as they defeated Newcastle United with a scoreline of 2-1.
Frank Lampard will utilise the 4-3-3 formation and might allow Maupay to lead the line against the Merseyside club as Dominic Calvert-Lewin still recovers from his injury.
Everton 4-3-3 Predicted Lineup Vs Liverpool
Defence
Jordan Pickford is expected to operate in goal for the upcoming home encounter. The English shot-stopper would hope to put up a strong performance.
Conor Coady and James Tarkowski might continue their centre-half partnership at the heart of Everton’s backline as they look to prevent Jurgen Klopp’s men from finding the back of the net. Mason Holgate will remain sidelined due to an injury setback.
Full-backs Nathan Patterson and Vitaliy Mykolenko will continue to function down the right and left-back positions, respectively.
Midfield
Alex Iwobi, Amadou Onana and Tom Davies will form the midfield trio; as they look to efficiently distribute the ball to their teammates and create opportunities for the frontmen.
Allan and Andre Gomes will have to settle for a place on the bench but might be called on in the latter stages of the game if needed.
Attack
Neal Maupay might make his debut this time around, acting as a decent replacement for Dominic Calvert-Lewin until he makes a full recovery.
Anthony Gordon and Demarai Gray will operate in the left and right-wing positions looking to create some clear-cut goal-scoring opportunities in the attacking third and providing support from the wide areas.
Liverpool have only conceded a single goal in the last two matches, so it will be tough to find the back of the net against a tight defence, but the trio will have to step up if they stand a chance to win the contest.
