Team News
Manchester City
Pep Guardiola will opt for the 4-3-3 formation as always, allowing Erling Haaland to lead the line as he’s in good form alongside Phil Foden, who has been putting in some impressive displays. However, he would still be unable to call upon Aymeric Laporte as he remains sidelined due to an injury, while John Stones is doubtful to start after just having returned from recovery. Kalvin Phillips will find himself on the bench due to fitness issues and Bernardo Silva might come on in the latter half to impact the game if required.
Manchester City Predicted XI
Ederson; Walker, Dias, Ake, Cancelo; De Bruyne, Rodri, Gundogan; Mahrez, Haaland, Foden
Newcastle United
Eddie Howe will come up with his own 4-3-3 formation to beat the Mancunian giants but he’ll remain without Jonjo Shelvey due to an injury setback. Fitness issues surrounding Matt Target, Ryan Fraser and Emil Krafth would see them on the bench looking to provide cover if required. Callum Wilson may lead the line by having Allan Saint-Maximin and Jose Almiron in support from the left and right flank, respectively.
Newcastle United Predicted XI
Pope; Trippier, Schar, Botman, Burn; Joelinton, Guimaraes, Willock; Saint-Maximin, Wilson, Almiron
