Everton faced off against Leeds United at Elland Road earlier tonight as they focused on collecting a good result on their travels. The Toffees made a good start to the game and got their noses ahead in the 17th minute via Anthony Gordon’s goal. The visitors managed to get into the half-time break 1-0 up on the scoreline.
However, Luis Sinisterra equalised for the Whites in the 55th minute when he scored with a low strike as the Merseyside club were held to a 1-1 draw at the full-time whistle.
Let’s take a look at how each Everton player fared during the match against the Whites.
GK: Jordan Pickford – 7/10
Pickford made a few good saves to restrict the opposition to just one goal. However, he was very untidy with his ball distribution.
RB: Nathan Patterson – 7.5/10
The English full-back performed his defensive duties really well and was lively in the Leeds half.
CB: Conor Coady – 6.5/10
Coady earned possession back a couple of times and didn’t hesitate to put his foot through the ball when needed.
CB: James Tarkowski – 7/10
He was a rock at the back for Everton and even managed to create one good chance going forward.
LB: Vitaliy Mykolenko – 6.5/10
Mykolenko gave a good account of himself on the defensive end of the field but offered very little in the final third.
CM: Tom Davies – 6.5/10
He got stuck in with some solid tackles but struggled to get into the flow of the game at times.
CM: Amadou Onana – 7/10
Onana protected his backline with conviction but struggled to influence the game in the final third.
CM: Alex Iwobi – 7/10
He worked hard defensively and picked up an assist for setting up Gordon’s goal.
RW: Dwight McNeil – 7.5/10
McNeil tracked back to defend when required and made two good runs with the ball down the right flank.
ST: Demarai Gray – 6/10
He struggled to influence the game and was mostly quiet during the 90 minutes.
LW: Anthony Gordon – 7/10
The English attacker gave Everton the lead in the 17th minute with a good run and finish. However, he was mostly ineffective in the second half.
