In a recent report Football.London has stated that Tottenham Hotspur could bring in a few more faces as they target James Maddison from Leicester City. It is understood that Antonio Conte has brought in seven players, including Richarlison, who would create a major impact at the attacking end for the Lilywhites, but the Italian tactician shows no signs of stopping as he remains on the lookout for attacking reinforcements.

Maddison’s Impressive Campaign For Leicester City Last Season

James Maddison enjoyed a solid campaign for the Foxes as he produced some impressive displays in the attacking end of the field. He banged in 13 goals and created 10 assists over 40 appearances last season across all fronts.

The 25-year-old has established himself as a key player in the frontline after averaging 2.1 shots, 1.4 key passes and 0.9 dribbles per game in the Premier League. He has been tidy with his ball distribution after completing 80.7% of his attempted passes in the English top flight (stats vai whoscored).

What Could Maddison Bring To Tottenham Hotspur?

Maddison can make some dangerous runs down the right- flank using his pace and excellent ball control. He is an adept finisher inside the penalty box and can create some meaningful opportunities by setting up his teammates in front of the goal.

The English forward is primarily a right-winger but remains versatile to feature anywhere on the right side of the final third. He likes playing behind the strikers and comes short to create space for his teammates to make runs in behind the opposition.

He remains an attacking threat as he can strike the ball with power and accuracy from a distance as well. Leicester’s number 10 would prove to be a brilliant addition to the Spurs. However, Conte would have a lot of work to do if he wishes to come up with rotations to satisfy all the incoming players at North London.
