Memphis Depay excels at generating a yard of space for himself to get a few strikes in on-target. The Dutchman is an accurate finisher of the ball when he’s in front of the goal. He can shoot the ball with power and accuracy from a distance.
The Dutch forward can create some meaningful chances for his teammates in front of the goal. He is usually effective with his link-up play but needs to improve his productivity in the final third. Depay is primarily a centre-forward but can operate as a left-sided wide player when required, so it makes him a decent replacement for Steven Bergwijn.
