In a recent report, Marca stated that Real Madrid have been offered a chance to land Bayern Munich winger Leroy Sane this summer. It has been stated that Los Blancos are not planning to make any more signings despite being offered the German international in this off-season.

Sane’s Excellent Form In German Football Last Season

Sane had a brilliant season in Munich recently as he established himself as a consistent performer in Bayern’s starting XI. The German speedster found the back of the net 14 times and earned 15 assists in 45 matches for the Bavarian outfit in the previous campaign across various competitions.

The 26-year-old was a joy to watch at the Allianz Arena after he averaged 2.8 shots, 1.6 key passes and 1.9 dribbles per 90 minutes in Bundesliga. He was even been accurate when distributing the ball in the opponent’s half, as evidenced by his pass completion rate of 84.1% in the German top tier (stats via whoscored).

Should Real Madrid Boss Carlo Ancelotti Move In For Sane This Summer?

Sane can use his quickness to make a few dangerous runs with the ball in the attacking end of the field. He can create a few clear-cut opportunities for his teammates in the opponent’s half and usually comes alive when left isolated in a 1v1 foot race with his marker out on the flanks.

The German sensation can score a handful of important goals for his team up top. He usually plays on the left wing but can also serve as a right-sided wide player or operate in the number ten position if needed.

At 26, Sane is currently playing in his prime. However, there is no immediate need for Los Blancos to move in for the winger as they are currently well-stocked in the attacking department.

Real Madrid boss Carlo Ancelotti can definitely benefit from getting the Bayern Munich winger on board in the future as he would add plenty of pace and goals to his attack. However, for now, the Madrid giants are better off concentrating on the new campaign as they have a strong squad capable of competing across all fronts.
