According to a recent report by The Sun, Manchester City seem to be interested in Bayern Munich winger Serge Gnabry. It is also mentioned that the German outfit values their priced asset at £35m and so the Mancunian giants would have to battle it out with their sworn rivals Manchester United who are also interested in acquiring the forward’s services before the start of the next campaign.
Gnabry’s Impressive Career For Bayern Munich So Far
Serge Gnarby has made 171 appearances for the Bavarians over the course of six years, scoring 64 goals and producing 40 assists across all fronts. The German forward had an extraordinary 2021/22 season by contributing 19 goals in 34 Bundesliga appearances, playing a crucial part in Bayern’s tenth successive title win.
He has performed consistently on the attacking end of the field after averaging 1.4 tackles, 2.0 shots, 1.4 key passes, 1.9 dribbles and 0.5 crosses per game in the German top flight. Gnabry can use his pace to get in behind the opposition’s defence and has got the vision to find his teammates in front of the goal. He remains a decent finisher as he can strike the ball with power and accuracy, and doesn’t mind taking a shot at the goal from distance.
The German international is primarily a right-sided wide player but remains versatile enough to feature on the left flank or operate as a secondary striker down the middle if needed. He has played a crucial part for the German giants and adds on to the attacking prowess in the frontline.
With Raheem Sterling and Gabriel Jesus set to exit the Etihad Stadium, Gnabry fits the bill perfectly as a decent replacement.
