In a recent print edition, The Daily Mail (14 July, Page 83) mentioned that Everton are hoping to land Chelsea playmaker Tino Anjorin this summer. It has been claimed that the Toffees are eyeing a move for the English attacker in this off-season.
Anjorin’s Recent Rise At West London
Anjorin has come through the youth ranks of Chelsea and has done well to earn five senior appearances for the Blues thus far. The Poole-born talent had a short loan spell at Huddersfield Town last season when he scored one goal in eight appearances for them across all fronts.
However, the English prospect might struggle to get any real game time if he stays at Chelsea beyond this summer. He is still quite raw and would need time to adapt to life in top-flight football.
Still, Everton could be a good destination for the youngster as Frank Lampard can use him as a sporadic asset in his squad next season.
Everton Hoping To Land Anjorin: Is He A Prospect For The Future?
Anjorin can be quite clever with his movements in and around the opponent’s penalty area and can be a good finisher in the final third when he is playing with confidence on the field.
The English whizkid is primarily an attacking midfielder but can even serve as a box-to-box midfielder or as a left-sided wide player if required. We can expect the Chelsea prospect to bring more depth to Frank Lampard‘s squad at Goodison Park.
At 20, the future is quite bright for Anjorin, so Everton would do well to get him on board in this off-season. Lampard could be the ideal man to oversee his development at the Merseyside club and get the best out of him in the coming seasons.
All in all, there is no doubt that Anjorin is a prospect to watch out for in the future as long as he continues to take strides towards improving himself with each year. Therefore, the Toffees should consider sealing a move for him before the end of this transfer window as he could grow into a future star at the blue half of Merseyside.
