In a recent report, Cadena SER’s Pacojo Delgado stated that Real Madrid have set their sights on Borussia Dortmund midfielder Jude Bellingham. It is believed that Los Blancos are showing interest in recruiting the English midfield ace this summer and are even willing to go back in for him in 2023 if needed.

Bellingham’s Impressive Numbers In German Football Last Season

Bellingham had another excellent campaign at Signal Iduna Park as he put in several impressive displays for Dortmund over the past ten months. The 18-year-old scored six times and picked up 14 assists in 44 matches for the German outfit last season in various competitions.

The promising teenager has been a joy to watch at the centre of Dortmund’s midfield based on his average of 1.6 tackles, 1.3 interceptions, 0.9 clearances, 1.4 shots, 1.2 key passes and 1.7 dribbles per game in the Bundesliga. The England international has even distributed possession accurately from midfield, as evidenced by his pass completion rate of 83.7% in the German top-flight (stats via whoscored).

Is Bellingham Going To Be A Great Signing For Real Madrid Boss Carlo Ancelotti?

Bellingham usually works his socks off when chasing the opposition down and can offer decent protection for his teammates at the back. Bellingham has mostly played as a central midfielder but is versatile enough to play on the wings as a wide player if required.

The 12-time England international is a good playmaker as he can unlock the opposition defence with a killer pass in the final third. At such a tender age, he has already added plenty of goals and assists to his game.

Hence, there is no denying that Bellingham is going to be a brilliant signing for Los Blancos if Carlo Ancelotti can devise a way to bring him to the Santiago Bernabeu Stadium this summer or at the end of next season.

The English whizkid will enhance the quality of Real Madrid’s midfield department considerably and would help them maintain their dominance in both domestic and European football. Thus, the Madrid giants should try everything they can to get a deal done for Bellingham soon.
