Real Madrid locked horns with Atletico Madrid at the Wanda Metropolitano earlier tonight as they hoped to secure a good result in the Madrid derby. Los Blancos made a solid start to the game but conceded the opening goal in the 40th minute when Yannick Carrasco scored from the penalty spot. The visitors went into the half-time break 1-0 down on the scoreline.

Carlo Ancelotti’s men tried their best to get back into the contest in the second half but Atletico hung on to their narrow lead until the very end. The match finished with Real Madrid suffering a 1-0 loss in the Spanish capital.

Let’s take a look at how each Real Madrid player fared during the match against Atletico Madrid.

GK: Andriy Lunin – 6/10

Lunin made one good save during the game but could not stop Carrasco’s penalty late in the first half.

RB: Lucas Vazquez – 6.5/10

He was solid at the back and had a couple of lively moments in the opponent’s half.

CB: Eder Militao – 6/10

The Brazilian talent made a couple of important interceptions but got replaced in the 67th minute.

CB: Jesus Vallejo – 5/10

The Spaniard ended up giving away a cheap penalty late in the first half which ended up costing his team the game. However, he did well to put his foot through the ball when the Atletico attackers were on the front foot.
