West Ham United are set to face Norwich City at Carrow Road on Sunday hoping to bounce back after conceiving four back to back losses. They come into the match on the back of a 1-0 defeat at the hands of Frankfurt in the semifinal return leg, thereby getting knocked out from the Europa League.
The Hammers squared off against Arsenal in their last Premier League fixture suffering a 1-2 defeat at the hands of the Gunners as well.
Team News
Kurt Zouma and Issa Diop return for first-team selection. Angelo Ogbonna will miss out on the clash due to a Ligament injury. The Hammers do not have any other setback heading into the match.
The Scottish tactician David Moyes will probably opt for a 4-2-3-1 formation this time unlike the 3-4-3 change up against Frankfurt.
4-2-3-1 West Ham United Predicted Lineup Vs Norwich City
Defence
Alphonse Areola would operate in between the sticks for the away side. The French international hopes to put up a strong performance and secure a clean sheet.
Craig Dawson would go on to partner with Kurt Zouma to form the heart of the backline. Aaron Cresswell will take the left-back, whereas Ben Johnson will start on the other flank as the right-back. The duo would be expected to stay compact defensively.
Midfield
Tomas Soucek would feature alongside Declan Rice in the holding midfield position, with both of them being assigned more of a defensive role to shield the back three.
Manuel Lanzini could slot into the centre-attacking midfield position looking to create opportunities for the forwards.
Bowen and Fornals will slot in the wide positions to complete the midfield trio. They will be determined to engineer some clear-cut goal scoring chances for the front men.
Said Benrahma will again take to the bench, hoping to be substituted in the latter half.
Attack
Michail Antonio is expected to lead the line for the hosts. The Englishman will hope to make the most of his chances when he faces off against the opposition backline.
