Barcelona welcomed Celta Vigo at the Nou Camp earlier tonight as they looked to secure a positive result at home. The Catalan giants made a great start to the game and broke the deadlock at the half-hour mark when Memphis Depay scored with a good strike.

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang scored two quick goals on either side of the half-time break to put Barca 3-0 up on the night. However, the visitors got a consolation goal back via Iago Aspas’ effort in the 50th minute. Things went from bad to worse for Celta Vigo as Jeison Murillo was sent off just eight minutes later. Barca ended up cruising to a comfortable 3-1 win in front of their home supporters.

Let’s take a look at how each Barcelona player performed during the match against Celta Vigo.

GK: Marc-André ter Stegen – 7/10

The German keeper made a few good saves during the game and deserves credit for restricting the opposition to just one goal.

RB: Dani Alves – 7/10

Alves earned the ball back a couple of times and had a few lively moments in the Celta Vigo half.

CB: Ronald Araujo – 6/10

He made two important defensive contributions but had to go off the field with a concussion.

CB: Eric Garcia – 7/10

The Spanish centre-half earned the ball back a few times and cleared the danger when required.

CM: Frenkie de Jong – 6.5/10

De Jong got stuck in with some crunching tackles and created one good opportunity in the opponent’s half.

RW: Ousmane Dembele – 8/10

The French wing wizard made a few excellent runs with the ball and has got two assists to show for his efforts.

CAM: Memphis Depay – 7/10

Depay gave Barca the lead in the 30th minute and was a constant menace in the final third.

He had to do a lot of defending but failed to influence the game going forward. Torres was taken off at half-time.

ST: Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang – 8/10

The ex-Arsenal striker scored two good goals on either side of the half-time interval which was enough to give his team an easy win at home.

He was a real threat in the final third but didn’t do enough to register a goal.
