Chelsea have almost secured a Champions League berth for the upcoming campaign, but their recent form has been below par after defeats against the likes of Brentford and Everton. They must find their rhythm back ahead of the FA Cup final versus Liverpool and claim a commanding win against Wolves on Saturday afternoon.

On the other hand, Wolves will travel to Stamford Bridge to keep their European hopes alive. However, they have lost their last three games and are yet to encounter Manchester City and Liverpool among the remaining contests.

Chelsea vs Wolves: Talking Tactics

Thomas Tuchel will probably set his side up in a 3-4-1-2 formation. But the gaffer has hinted at a possible start for Romelu Lukaku, who has not been able to live up to expectations since his mega-money summer return.

These two sides settled for a stalemate at Molineux in the reverse fixture. Bruno Lage has also opted for a ‘back three’ all season and should stick with a 3-5-2 versus the Blues.

Team News

Chelsea will be without their midfield pair Jorginho and N’Golo Kante, who are not fit for this weekend. Ben Chilwell and Callum Hudson-Odoi remain the long-term absentees with their respective injury problems.

Chelsea Predicted XI

Mendy; Azpilicueta, Silva, Rudiger; James, Kovacic, Loftus-Cheek, Alonso; Mount; Havertz, Lukaku.

Nelson Semedo and Max Kilman are ruled out for the rest of the campaign. But the return of Daniel Podence is a significant boost ahead of the Chelsea game.

Wolves Predicted XI

Sa; Boly, Coady, Saiss; Hoever, Dendoncker, Never, Moutinho, Jonny; Hwang , Jimenez.

Key Men

Lukaku must deliver while spearheading the attack if handed a start against the Midlands outfit. Mason Mount has been impressive as the attacking playmaker, whereas the three-man backline of Cesar Azpilicueta, Thiago Silva and Antonio Rudiger should maintain their composure and defensive resilience to overcome the late jitters.

Wolves have not only lost the last three games but also failed to find the net. The pressure would be immense on Hwang Hee-chan and Raul Jimenez as they must end their barren run before the closure of the current term.
