Tottenham Hotspur locked horns with Brentford at the Brentford Community Stadium earlier this evening as they looked to earn all three points on the road. Both sides canceled each other out in the first half as Spurs went into the half-time break with a goalless scoreline.
The North London outfit struggled to find the cutting edge in the final third as the contest finished with a 0-0 scoreline after the full-time whistle.
Let’s take a look at how each Tottenham player performed during the match against the Bees.
GK: Hugo Lloris – 7/10
The French keeper made a couple of solid saves during the game but was a bit untidy with his ball distribution. Still, he deserves credit for keeping a clean sheet away from home.
CB: Cristian Romero – 7.5/10
Romero earned the ball back multiple times for his team and cleared the danger when needed. He also made a key chance going forward.
CB: Eric Dier – 7/10
The English defensive ace made a handful of crucial clearances at the back.
CB: Ben Davies – 7/10
Davies made two important interceptions inside his half and was not afraid to put his foot through the ball when required.
RW: Emerson Royal – 7/10
He performed his defensive duties well and had some bright moments in the final third.
CM: Rodrigo Bentancur – 7/10
The talented midfielder protected his backline well and was a threat in the Brentford half.
CM: Pierre-Emile Højbjerg – 7/10
Hojbjerg anchored the midfield with conviction but failed to make an impact in the final third.
LW: Ryan Sessegnon – 6.5/10
He worked hard defensively but struggled to make himself useful in the opponent’s half.
RW: Dejan Kulusevski – 7/10
Kulusevski caused a few problems for the Brentford defenders but didn’t do enough to get his name on the scoresheet.
ST: Harry Kane – 7/10
The English striker was once again Spurs’ best hope for a goal today. He went close to scoring with a late strike which narrowed missed the target.
LW: Heung-min Son – 6.5/10
He showed some glimpses of his brilliance but never got a sniff at goal.
Substitutes:
CB: Davinson Sanchez – 6/10
Sanchez added more bite and steel to Antonio Conte’s defence.
RW: Lucas Moura – N/A
He didn’t get enough minutes to warrant a rating.
