Manchester City will clash heads with Watford at the Etihad on Saturday, hoping to pick up a positive result before their first leg of the Champions League semi-finals against Spanish giants Real Madrid.
The Hornets come into the match at the back of a 2-1 loss against Brentford, whereas the Mancunian giants displayed an erratic performance during a comfortable 3-0 victory over Brighton.
Team News
Kyle Walker, who twisted his ankle in the Champions League against Atletico Madrid last week, remains doubtful with Nathan Ake, who picked up the same problem in the previous match. Benjamin Mendy, who the Police have charged, remains suspended.
John Stone seemed to have had a minor setback but will be available for the selection. Pep Guardiola will probably opt for the 4-3-3 formation with several tweaks from the last game.
4-3-3 Manchester City Predicted Lineup Vs Watford
Defence
Ederson Moraes will start in goal for the upcoming encounter. The Brazilian shot-stopper would hope to put up a strong performance and secure a clean sheet on Saturday.
Ruben Dias will form the centre-half partnership with Aymeric Laporte at the heart of the Sky Blues’ backline.
Cancelo starts at the right-back position, whereas Oleksandr Zinchenko might fill in on the opposite flank as the left-back. They will look to stretch the opposition’s defence and create chances for the forwards.
Midfield
Rodri, along with the likes of Kevin de Bruyne and Ilkay Gundogan, would hold the central midfield positions, with the former occupying a more defensive role. The duo would be determined to set up some clear-cut goal-scoring chances for the men up front.
Attack
Phil Foden and Riyad Mahrez will take up the wide positions, playing down the right and left-wing, respectively.
Raheem Sterling might lead the line against the Canaries, and the striker will fancy his chances of finding the back of the net as the Hornets defence have conceded thirteen goals in the last five matches.
