Leeds United entertained Manchester City at Elland Road earlier this evening as they hoped to grind out a result at home. The Whites made a lackluster start to the game and conceded the opening goal in the 13th minute when Rodri scored with a good header. However, Jesse Marsch’s men showed some fight and went into the half-time break 1-0 down on the scoreline.
Nathan Ake doubled Man City’s advantage with a good finish in the 54th minute. Gabriel Jesus ended up killing the contest off in the 78th minute before Fernandinho got his name on the scoresheet with a powerful strike from outside the penalty box. The match finished with Leeds suffering a poor 4-0 loss in Yorkshire.
