Aston Villa entertained Tottenham Hotspur at Villa Park earlier this evening as they hoped to secure a win at home and bounce back in the Premier League. The Villans made a horror start to the game as Heung-min Son scored in the third minute. Steven Gerrard’s men failed to come up with a response and went into the half-time break 1-0 down on the scoreline.

Dejan Kulusevski scored for Tottenham in the 50th minute and put them 2-0 up on the day. Son added another goal in the 66th minute before completing his hat-trick just five minutes later. The West Midlands club ended up being beaten by a 4-0 scoreline in front of their home fans.

Let’s take a look at how each Aston Villa player fared during the clash against Spurs.

GK: Emiliano Martinez – 5.5/10

The Argentine keeper was tidy with his passing but ended up conceding four goals this evening.

RB: Matty Cash – 6/10

He looked shaky at the back but was a threat going forward.

CB: Ezri Konsa – 5.5/10

Konsa was mostly solid on the defensive end of the field in the first half. However, he won’t be happy after allowing three goals in the second.

CB: Tyrone Mings – 6/10

The English centre-back earned the ball back a couple of times and even made two crucial clearances at the back.
