Aston Villa entertained Tottenham Hotspur at Villa Park earlier this evening as they hoped to secure a win at home and bounce back in the Premier League. The Villans made a horror start to the game as Heung-min Son scored in the third minute. Steven Gerrard’s men failed to come up with a response and went into the half-time break 1-0 down on the scoreline.
Dejan Kulusevski scored for Tottenham in the 50th minute and put them 2-0 up on the day. Son added another goal in the 66th minute before completing his hat-trick just five minutes later. The West Midlands club ended up being beaten by a 4-0 scoreline in front of their home fans.
