West Ham United locked horns with Tottenham Hotspur at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium earlier this evening as they looked to grind out a good result in the London derby. The Hammers made a poor start to the game as they conceded the opening goal in the ninth minute when Kurt Zouma scored an unfortunate own goal. Heung-min Son doubled Spurs’ advantage in the 24th minute but Said Benrahma gave West Ham a lifeline when he found the back of the net with a good volley in the 35th minute. David Moyes’ men went into the half-time interval 2-1 down on the scoreline.
The Hammers stayed in the contest for most of the second half but conceded their third goal in the 88th minute when Son scored again for Tottenham. The London derby finished with West Ham suffering a 3-1 loss at the English capital.
