In a recent report, Sport mentioned that West Ham United are among clubs hoping to land Real Madrid playmaker Isco. It is believed that the Hammers could face competition from Borussia Dortmund, AC Milan and Juventus in pursuit of the Spanish talent in the summer.
Isco’s Growing Struggles At The Santiago Bernabeu Stadium
Isco is having a difficult campaign at the Spanish capital as he has struggled to make himself a regular starter in Carlo Ancelotti’s starting XI. The 29-year-old has scored two goals in 14 matches for the Spanish outfit this season on all fronts.
The 29-year-old has made most of his league appearances as a substitute which explains why he is only averaging 0.7 shots, 0.6 key passes and 1.2 dribbles per 90 minutes in La Liga. However, he deserves credit for being tidy when distributing possession in the opponent’s half after completing 91.2% of his attempted passes in league football (stats via whoscored).

Is Isco The Right Choice For West Ham United?
Isco is a decent playmaker in the final third when he is playing regularly and with confidence on the field. He can strike the ball well from long range and has got the vision to cut open the opposition defence with a killer pass up top.
However, the Spaniard’s time at the Bernabeu has been disrupted by multiple trophies. Furthermore, Isco was often found himself warming the Real Madrid bench. Thus, it makes sense for the player to opt for a change of scenery so that he can earn regular game time and get his career back on track in European football.
We can expect Isco to add more guile and creativity to David Moyes‘ attack. He is definitely good enough to earn a regular starting spot at the London Stadium if West Ham can get him on board in the summer.
With all things considered, Isco will be a great choice for the Hammers as he has what it takes to help them challenge for a top-four place in the coming seasons. Thus, Moyes should priortise on trying everything he can to seal a move for the Spanish sensation during the summer transfer period.
