In a recent report, TuttoJuve mentioned that Tottenham Hotspur are facing stiff competition for Torino defender Bremer this summer. It has been revealed that Spurs are locked in a battle with Juventus, Inter Milan and AC Milan in pursuit of the Brazilian centre-back during the summer transfer window.

Bremer’s Excellent Form For Torino This Season

Bremer is enjoying a solid season in Italian football as he has successfully established himself as a rock at the centre of Torino’s defence. The 24-year-old has registered two goals and one assist in 24 matches for the Italian club during this campaign on all fronts.

The Brazilian defensive ace has done well to average 1.4 tackles, 3.5 interceptions and 3.5 clearances per game in Serie A. He has even been tidy when distributing the ball from the back as evidenced by his pass success rate of 81.5% in league football (stats via whoscored).

What Will Bremer Bring To The Tottenham Hotspur Stadium?

Standing at 1.88m, Bremer is a powerful presence on the defensive third of the field and can often use his strength to outmuscle the opposition in the air. He is a tough-tackling defender who can time his challenges well to earn possession back inside his half.

The Brazilian sensation can scan the danger quickly and doesn’t shy away from clearing his lines when the opposition are on the front foot. Bremer even takes care of the ball when playing his way out from the back. However, there are some question marks over whether Bremer can make a smooth transition to life in English football.

A centre-half of Bremer’s skillset will be an excellent addition to Tottenham‘s match-day squad. We can expect the Torino star to bring a lot of quality to Spurs‘ defensive department and could help the North London outfit challenge for a top-four place in the coming seasons.

At 24, Bremer’s best years are ahead of him, so the Tottenham fans can expect the Brazilian to get better with each campaign. Thus, it makes a lot of sense for the London giants to arrange a move to acquire Bremer’s services in the summer.
