Manchester United entertained Atletico Madrid at Old Trafford earlier tonight as they looked to pick up a win and secure qualification into the quarterfinal stage of the UEFA Champions League. The Red Devils made a bright start to the game but conceded the opening goal in the 41st minute when Renan Lodi scored with a good header for the visitors which meant that Man United were trailing 1-0 at the half-time break.

Ralf Rangnick’s men tried their best to net an equaliser but were lackluster in the final third. The contest finished with Man United suffering a disappointing 1-0 loss at home (2-1 on aggregate) which knocked them out of the Champions League.

Let’s take a look at how each Man United player performed during the clash against Atletico Madrid.

GK: David de Gea – 6.5/10

The Spanish keeper made a couple of decent stops at the back but couldn’t do much about Lodi’s well-placed header late in the first half.

RB: Diogo Dalot – 7/10

Dalot was strong in the air and made two good runs with the ball in the opponent’s half. He also didn’t shy away from having a strike at goal.

CB: Raphael Varane – 7/10

He made one important interception at the back and was a real threat in the Atletico half.

CB: Harry Maguire – 6.5/10

The English talent earned possession back a few times and made one key chance going forward.
