Arsenal welcomed Leicester City at the Emirates Stadium earlier this evening as they looked to secure a positive result at home. The Gunners made a bright start to the game and got their noses ahead in the 11th minute when Thomas Partey found the back of the net. The North London outfit managed to keep their narrow lead intact and went into the half-time break 1-0 up on the scoreline.
Alexandre Lacazette put some daylight between the two teams as he scored his penalty in the 59th minute. Arsenal ended up cruising to a 2-0 win at the Emirates.

The Gunners keeper made a world-class save to deny Harvey Barnes an equaliser in the first half. He was solid at the back and has got a clean sheet to show for his efforts.

He made two important clearances inside his half but struggled to influence the game in the final third.

White earned the ball back a few times and did not shy away from putting his foot through the ball when needed. He was also a threat at the other end.

The Brazilian centre-back kept a solid defensive shape at the back and did enough to restrict the opposition from scoring.
LB: Kieran Tierney – 7/10
He performed his defensive duties well and was quite lively in the Leicester half.
CM: Thomas Partey – 8.5/10
The talented midfielder gave Arsenal the lead in the 11th minute. He anchored the midfield with conviction and deserved to be named the man of the match.
CM: Granit Xhaka – 7.5/10
Xhaka created some decent chances for others around him but made one good run from midfield.
RW: Bukayo Saka – 7/10
Saka tracked back to help his teammates out at the back when needed and was a constant threat in the final third.
CAM: Martin Odegaard – 7.5/10
The Norwegian playmaker orchestrated a lot of encouraging chances for his teammates in the attacking end of the field.
LW: Gabriel Martinelli – 8/10
He caused all kinds of problems for the Leicester City defenders due to his pace and creativity. Martinelli came off with an assist to his name.
ST: Alexandre Lacazette – 7/10
Lacazette did well to covert his penalty which gave the home team some breathing room in the final quarter of the match.
