West Ham United entertained Wolverhampton Wanderers at the London Stadium earlier today as they looked to earn all three points on the road. The Hammers made a bright start to the game but were held to a goalless draw at the half-time break.
Tomas Soucek finally broke the deadlock in the 59th minute when he put West Ham ahead from close range. The Hammers sat on their lead well and secured a narrow 1-0 win in front of their home supporters.

The Polish keeper had to make one save in the game and earned an easy clean sheet at the London Stadium.
RB: Ben Johnson – 6.5/10
He was solid when defending at the back and made one good run down the right flank.
CB: Craig Dawson – 7.5/10
Dawson made plenty of important clearances inside his half and was strong in the air.
CB: Kurt Zouma – 8/10
The Frenchman won his fair share of aerial duels and cleared the danger plenty of times to keep the opposition at bay.

LB: Aaron Cresswell – 7.5/10
Cresswell performed his defensive duties well and engineered one key chance in the final third.
CM: Tomas Soucek – 8/10
He earned the ball back a few times and managed to create a couple of decent chances in the attacking end of the field. He scored the only goal of the game from close range.
CM: Declan Rice – 7.5/10
Rice anchored the midfield with conviction and made one good chance in the opponent’s half.
RW: Jarrod Bowen – 6.5/10
He had a few lively moments in the final third but didn’t do enough to score.

Lanzini showed some flashes of his brilliance in the Wolves half but never looked like he would score.

The Spanish playmaker caused a lot of problems for the opposition with his creativity and running but hardly got a sniff at goal.

Antonio orchestrated plenty of meaningful openings for his teammates but failed to get his name on the scoresheet.
