Manchester City entertained Fulham at the Etihad Stadium earlier today as they hoped to secure a victory and book a spot in the next round of the FA Cup. The Mancunian giants made a poor start to the game and shipped in the opening goal in the fourth minute when Fabio Carvalho found the back of the net.
However, Ilkay Gundogan equalised for the home team just two minutes later when he scored with a good finish. John Stones completed the turnaround with a solid header in the 13th minute as Man City cruised to a 2-1 lead at half-time.
Riyad Mahrez made the result secure when he converted his penalty in the 53rd minute before going on to score again just four minutes later with a right-footed finish. The contest ended with Pep Guardiola’s men securing an emphatic 4-1 win at home.
