Chelsea entertained LOSC Lille at Stamford Bridge earlier tonight as they looked to earn a positive result at home. The Blues made a good start to the game and got their noses ahead in the eighth minute courtesy of Kai Havertz’s good header. Thomas Tuchel’s men controlled the game well and went into the half-time break 1-0 up on the scoreline.

The home side grew stronger in the second half and doubled their advantage just after the hour mark when Christian Pulisic scored with a brilliant finish. The match ended with Chelsea earning an impressive 2-0 win in front of their home fans.

Let’s take a look at how each Chelsea player performed during the contest against Lille.

GK: Edouard Mendy – 7/10

Mendy made a couple of good saves during the game and secured an easy clean sheet at home.

CB: Andreas Christensen – 7/10

He made two important interceptions at the back and did enough to restrict the opposition from scoring a goal.

CB: Thiago Silva – 7.5/10

The Brazilian centre-back cleared the danger when needed and even blocked a couple of shots. He will be quite happy with the clean sheet tonight.

CB: Antonio Rudiger – 7/10

Rudiger was strong in the air and made several clearances during the game to keep his clean sheet intact.
