Barcelona entertained Athletic Bilbao at the Nou Camp earlier tonight as they looked to pick up maximum points from this home clash. The Catalan outfit made a bright start to the game as Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang opened the goal-scoring in the 37th minute. Xavi’s men cruised to a 1-0 lead at the half-time break.
Barca ramped up the pressure towards the final quarter of the game and doubled their advantage in the 73rd minute when Ousmane Dembele found the back of the net with an excellent finish. Luuk de Jong got his name on the scoresheet in the 90th minute before Memphis Depay put the icing on the cake for the home side in injury-time with another goal.

The German keeper made a few decent saves during the game and secured an impressive clean sheet at home.

The Brazilian talent didn’t put a foot wrong on the defensive end of the field. He even created a couple of key chances in the opponent’s half.

He performed his defensive duties well and did enough to restrict the Bilbao attackers from scoring during the 90 minutes.

The Spaniard got stuck in with some solid tackles and cleared his lines when required. He was a threat at the other end as well.
LB: Sergino Dest – 7/10
He kept a solid shape at the back and made two good runs with the ball down the left flank.
CM: Gavi – 6.5/10
Gavi was always willing to run with the ball and made one good chance going forward.
CM: Sergio Busquets – 7/10
He earned the ball back a few times and was tidy when passing the ball from midfield.
CM: Pedri – 7/10
The Spaniard made a few clever runs with the ball but didn’t do enough to register a goal.
RW: Adama Traore – 7/10
Traore completed some dangerous dribbles down the right wing but didn’t do enough to get his name on the scoresheet.
ST: Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang – 8/10
The ex-Arsenal forward caused a few problems for the opposition and scored the opening goal of the game in the latter stages of the first half.
LW: Ferran Torres – 6.5/10
Torres caused a few headaches for the Bilbao defenders but was wasteful in the final third.
