Manquillo To Start, Krafth On The Bench | 4-3-3 Newcastle United Predicted Lineup Vs Aston Villa

Newcastle United will entertain Aston Villa at St. James’ Park on Sunday afternoon as they looked to earn all three points at home. The Magpies managed to secure an impressive 3-1 win over Everton in midweek which will give them a lot of confidence ahead of this clash.

Eddie Howe could set his team up in a 4-3-3 formation and will be forced to make one change to his first team for this game. Matt Targett is ineligible to face his parent club, so Javier Manquillo could get the nod to fill in at left-back.

Defence

Martin Dubravka will feature in between the sticks for the Magpies after he conceded one goal versus the Toffees in his last league start. Fabian Schar will get the nod to start alongside Jamaal Lascelles at the heart of the Newcastle backline as they try to keep things solid on the defensive end of the field this weekend.

Kieran Trippier is a major doubt for this game but will get a start at right-back if he can pass a late fitness. On the other flank, Javier Manquillo will fill in at left-back in the absence of Matt Targett.

Emil Krafth and Dann Burn will offer cover for the defensive positions on Howe’s bench.

Midfield

Joelinton, Jonjo Shelvey and Bruno Guimaraes will make up the Newcastle midfield as they try to establish their superiority over the Villans at the centre of the park.

Sean Longstaff and Joe Willock will be available for selection on the bench as he waits for his opportunity to make an impact in the second half if needed.

Attack

Allan Saint-Maximin will hope to put his pace to good use down the left flank while Ryan Fraser looks to build on his goal-scoring display from the right. Chris Wood will once again lead the line for the Tyneside giants down the middle.

Both Dwight Gayle and Jacob Murphy will be named on the bench but might come on in the latter stages if required.
