Everton will entertain Brentford at Goodison Park on Saturday afternoon as they try to pick up a positive result and progress into the next round of the FA Cup. The Toffees suffered a 1-0 defeat at the hands of Aston Villa before the international break. Hence, the Merseyside outfit will be eager to produce a much-improved showing under their new manager, Frank Lampard’s stewardship this weekend.
The Everton boss could opt for a 4-3-3 formation and is expected to play Donny van de Beek from the start in this cup clash at home.
4-3-3 Everton Predicted Lineup To Face Brentford
Defence
Jordan Pickford will operate in between the sticks for the Toffees after shipping in one goal in his last appearance. Michael Keane could get the nod to play alongside Yerry Mina at the heart of the Everton backline as they focus on keeping things solid at the back during the 90 minutes.
Seamus Coleman could fill in at right-back while Vitaliy Mykolenko hopes to give a good account of himself on the other side as the left-back. Both of them will get the freedom to express themselves in the opposition half so that they can offer some decent service to the front players.
Ben Godfrey and Mason Holgate will offer cover for the defensive positions on the bench.

Midfield
Donny van de Beek, Allan and Andre Gomes could get a chance to make up Lampard’s midfield this weekend. All three of them will need to be at the top of their game if the Toffees are to secure a victory in this FA Cup contest.
Abdoulaye Doucoure is expected to be sidelined with an injury and might not recover in time for this game.
Dele Alli will start on the bench as he waits for his chance to shine in the second half if required.
Attack
Demarai Gray will probably get an opportunity to impress down the left flank while Richarilison hopes to make a difference from the right.
Dominic Calvert-Lewin is a major doubt for this game. He will be desperate to recover in time if he wants to lead the line for the Merseyside club down the middle. The English striker needs a goal to boost his confidence ahead of what looks set to be a busy month in English football.
Anthony Gordon will have to be content with a place on the bench but might come on to influence the game in the latter stages if needed.
