Manchester United entertained West Ham United at Old Trafford earlier this afternoon as they hoped to bag all three points at home. Both teams fought tooth and nail in the first 45 minutes but lacked the cutting edge in the final third as the Red Devils went into the half-time break with a goalless scoreline.

The Mancunian giants piled on the pressure in the second half and managed to net a dramatic winning goal in injury-time when Marcus Rashford found the back of the net via a tap-in. The contest ended with Ralf Rangnick’s men securing a hard-fought 1-0 victory at the Threatre of Dreams.

Let’s take a look at how each Man United player performed during the match against the Hammers.

GK: David de Gea – 7/10

The Spanish keeper made one solid save in the game and secured an easy clean sheet in front of the home supporters.

RB: Diogo Dalot – 8/10

Dalot was a rock at the back and made a couple of decent runs down the right flank. He managed to create two meaningful chances in the final third as well.

CB: Raphael Varane – 7/10

He kept a good defensive shape inside his half and secured an impressive clean sheet at Old Trafford.

CB: Harry Maguire – 7/10

Maguire won his fair share of aerial duels and cleared the danger when needed on the defensive end of the field.

LB: Alex Telles – 7/10

The Brazilian talent performed his defensive duties well and was lively in the West Ham half.

CM: Scott McTominay – 7.5/10

McTominay made a couple of tackles and managed to engineer a few decent chances for others around him.

CM: Fred – 7/10

The Brazilian sensation anchored the midfield well and produced a bright display going forward.

RW: Mason Greenwood – 6.5/10

He made a few dangerous runs in the final third but there was no goal for him today.

CAM: Bruno Fernandes – 7/10

The Portugal international was always looking to create openings for his teammates but lacked the cutting edge in the attacking end of the pitch.

LW: Anthony Elanga – 6.5/10

He caused a few problems for the opposition defenders but didn’t get too many sniffs at goal.

ST: Cristiano Ronaldo – 6.5/10

Ronaldo did his fair share of defending by clearing his lines when needed. He was also a threat in the final third but didn’t do enough to find the back of the net.

LW: Marcus Rashford – 7/10

The English attacker ended up netting the only goal of the game in injury-time.

ST: Edinson Cavani – N/A

He didn’t get enough minutes to warrant a rating.

RW: Anthony Martial – N/A

Martial hardly had any time to influence the game.
