Manchester United faced off against Brentford at the Brentford Community Stadium earlier tonight as they focused on collecting maximum points on their travels. The Red Devils were solid in the first half but failed to break the opposition down as they went into the half-time break with a goalless scoreline.

The Mancunian giants made a quick start to the second half and got their noses ahead in the 55th minute courtesy of Anthony Elanga’s finish from close range. Mason Greenwood doubled his team’s advantage just seven minutes later before Marcus Rashford made it 3-0 to Man United with a clinical finish. Ivan Toney scored a consolation goal for Brentford in the 85th minute as the Red Devils came away with a 3-1 win from West London.

Let’s take a look at how each Man United player performed during the clash against the Bees.

GK: David de Gea – 7/10

The Spanish keeper made a handful of good saves at the back but will be disappointed after conceding a late goal.

RB: Diogo Dalot – 7.5/10

He was a strong presence in the air and made several important clearances inside his half. Dalot also won the ball back a few times for his side but offered very little in the final third.

CB: Victor Lindelof – 7/10

The Swedish talent did a little bit of everything at the back and kept the Brentford attackers frustrated for most of the game.

CB: Raphael Varane – 7.5/10

He cleared the danger when required and produced a solid display on the defensive end of the pitch.

McTominay worked his socks off at both ends of the field and made multiple runs from midfield. He got replaced late in the game.

He caused a few problems for the Brentford defenders and scored a good goal in the second half.

CAM: Bruno Fernandes – 8/10

Fernandes ran the show in the Brentford half and finished the game with a couple of assists to his name.
