Will Abner Be A Good Choice For Manchester City?
Abner is a quick and agile full-back who has proven himself to be a solid defender at the back. He is a decent tackler of the ball and can sense the danger quickly to earn possession back for his side. The Brazilian whizkid is not afraid to put his foot through the ball when needed and can play his way out from the back. He can whip in some dangerous crosses into the opponent’s penalty box and is a powerful striker of the ball.
Abner has got the potential to become a future star at the highest level, so Man City would do well to bring him to the Etihad Stadium during the summer transfer window. At the tender age of 21, he is already good enough to compete with Oleksandr Zinchenko for a regular starting place in Pep Guardiola‘s first team.
Joao Cancelo has become Man City’s preferred choice for the left-back spot this season. However, playing the Portuguese talent in his natural right-back position makes more sense which would free up space for someone as talented as Abner to slot in on the other side as the left-back.
