Leeds United entertained Burnley at Elland Road earlier this afternoon as they hoped to earn maximum points at home. The Whites made a good start to the game as they scored the opening goal in the 39th minute when Jarrod Bowen found the back of the net with a powerful shot. The Yorkshire giants sat on their lead well and went into the half-time break 1-0 to the good.
Maxwel Cornet equalised for the Clarets with a stunning freekick in the 54th minute. However, the Whites regained their lead in the 77th minute when Stuart Dallas scored with a great strike. Daniel James made the points secure in injury-time with a good header as Leeds managed to seal a 3-1 victory in front of their home fans.
Let’s take a look at how each Leeds United player performed during the clash against the Clarets.

The Whites keeper made one good save and won a few aerial duels during the game but got beat by an excellent strike from Cornet in the second half.
CB: Luke Ayling – 7/10
Ayling won his fair share of headers and cleared the danger when needed.
CB: Robin Koch – 7/10
The German defender made a lot of important clearances inside his half and did enough to restrict the opposition to just one goal.
CB: Diego Llorente – 6.5/10
The Spaniard didn’t take too many risks when clearing his lines but picked up a yellow card.
RM: Stuart Dallas – 8.5/10
Dallas was always willing to have a strike at goal and had some lively moments in the final third. He restored Leeds’ lead with a brilliant effort in the second half.
CM: Mateusz Klich – 8/10
He made plenty of inviting chances for others around him and has got an assist to show for his efforts.
CM: Adam Forshaw – 6.5/10
Forshaw managed to offer decent protection for his teammates at the back but offered very little in the final third.
LM: Junior Firpo – 7.5/10
He got stuck in with multiple tackles and was a threat going forward as well.
RW: Raphinha – 7/10
The Brazilian talent was not shy of having a strike on-target and was unfortunate not to find the back of the net today.
ST: Tyler Roberts – 6/10
He offered very little in the attacking third of the field and got replaced just before the hour mark.
LW: Jack Harrison – 7.5/10
Harrison scored the opening goal in the 39th minute and was responsible for making a few dangerous runs with the ball down the left wing.

ST: Joe Gelhardt – 7/10
He picked up an assist for setting up James’ injury-time goal.
LW: Daniel James – 7.5/10
James got his name on the scoresheet with a good header in the dying embers of the game.
