Real Madrid faced off against Getafe at the Coliseum Alfonso Pérez earlier today as they hoped to secure maximum points on the road. Los Blancos made a sloppy start to the game as they conceded the opening goal in the ninth minute when Enes Unal found the back of the net for the home team after capitalising on a mistake from Eder Militao. Carlo Ancelotti’s men dominated possession but failed to find the cutting edge in the final third as they went into the half-time break 1-0 down on the scoreline.

It was a similar story in the second half as the Madrid giants continued to go all out in search of the equaliser. However, Los Blancos couldn’t take any of their chances and ended up suffering a 1-0 defeat away from home.

Let’s take a look at how each Real Madrid player fared during the clash against Getafe.

GK: Thibaut Courtois – 6/10

The Belgian goalie will be disappointed after conceding such an early goal. However, he deserves credit for making a couple of solid saves at the back.

RB: Lucas Vazquez – 7/10

Vazquez made two good runs with the ball and engineered a few decent chances for his teammates to score.

CB: Eder Militao – 5/10

Militao’s big mistake led to Getafe’s opening goal which ended up costing his team the result. However, he won multiple aerial duels and put in a solid display in the second half.

CB: David Alaba – 6.5/10

He was defensively solid and managed to create a couple of inviting opportunities for his teammates up top.

LB: Ferland Mendy – 6/10

He had a quiet game in the first half and got replaced at half-time.

CM: Luka Modric – 7.5/10

Modric had a lively game in the Getafe half but was unfortunate not to get his name on the scoresheet.

CM: Casemiro – 8/10

The Brazilian midfielder anchored the midfield really well and made a lot of tackles to make life difficult for the opposition.

CM: Toni Kroos – 6.5/10

The German international orchestrated two good chances for others around him but failed to register a goal.

RW: Rodrygo – 6/10

He struggled to give a good account of himself in the final third and got substituted in the 66th minute.

ST: Karim Benzema – 6/10

Benzema had some bright moments in the attacking end of the field but there was no goal for him today.

LW: Marco Asensio – 6/10

The Spaniard produced a lackluster display in the first 45 minutes and was taken off at half-time.

LW: Eden Hazard – 6.5/10

He made two good runs with the ball out on the wide areas.

LB: Marcelo – 6.5/10

Marcelo was always willing to run with the ball down the left flank.

ST: Mariano – 6/10

He caused a few problems but didn’t do enough to net the equaliser.

RW: Peter Gonzalez – N/A

The 19-year-old hardly had any time to influence the game.

CAM: Isco – N/A

The Spaniard came on for the final few minutes of the clash.
