Chelsea welcomed Tottenham Hotspur at Stamford Bridge earlier this evening as they looked to secure a positive result in front of their home supporters. The Blues were dominant in the first half but struggled to find the cutting edge in the final third as they went into the half-time interval with a goalless scoreline.
The West London outfit made an electric start to the second half and got their noses ahead in the 47th minute courtesy of Hakim Ziyech’s superb strike. Thiago Silva doubled Chelsea’s advantage just eight minutes later when he found the back of the net with a good header. The match ended with the Blues securing an impressive 2-0 win in the London derby.
