Real Madrid welcomed Inter Milan at the Santiago Bernabeu Stadium earlier tonight as they looked to collect maximum points at home. Los Blancos made a good start to the game and got their noses ahead in the 17th minute courtesy of Toni Kroos’ excellent strike from long range. The Madrid giants defended their lead well and went into the half-time interval 1-0 up on the scoreline.

Nicolo Barella was given his marching orders in the 64th minute. Los Blancos capitalised on their numerical advantage and killed the game off in the 79th minute when Marco Asensio found the back of the net with a brilliant shot from outside the box. The match ended with Carlo Ancelotti’s players securing a comfortable 2-0 victory in front of their home fans.

Let’s take a look at how each Real Madrid player fared during the match against Inter Milan.

GK: Thibaut Courtois – 7/10

The Belgian keeper made a few solid saves and earned an easy clean sheet at home.

RB: Dani Carvajal – 8/10

The Spaniard cleared his lines when required and made a few inviting chances for his teammates in the final third. He ended the game with an assist to his name.

CB: Eder Militao – 8/10

Militao was a rock at the back and made multiple interceptions for his team on the defensive end of the field. He also put his foot through the ball when in danger of being exposed inside his half.

CB: David Alaba – 6.5/10

Alaba did not take too many risks with his clearances and performed well to earn a clean sheet at home.
