Leeds United locked horns with Chelsea at Stamford Bridge earlier today as they tried to grind out a result on their travels. Raphinha gave the Whites a surprise lead when he converted his penalty in the 28th minute. However, the home team equalised just 14 minutes later courtesy of a great finish from Mason Mount. Both teams went into the half-time interval with a 1-1 scoreline.

Jorginho completed the turnaround for Chelsea when he kept his composure from the penalty spot in the 58th minute. However, Joe Gelhardt came off the bench to level the scoreline for Leeds in the 83rd minute with an excellent finish from close range. The West London outfit got a fortunate penalty in injury time which Jorginho converted as the Whites ended up losing the contest by a narrow 3-2 scoreline.

Let’s take a look at how each Leeds United player fared during the match against the Blues.

GK: Illan Meslier – 6.5/10

The Whites goalie made two good saves at the back and was strong in the air. However, he won’t be pleased after shipping in three goals during the 90 minutes.

RB: Stuart Dallas – 6.5/10

Dallas gave a good account of himself on the defensive end of the field. He also made one decent run down the right flank.

CB: Luke Ayling – 6/10

He tried his best to keep things tidy inside his half. Ayling made an important block during the game.

CB: Diego Llorente – 6/10

Llorente won the ball back a couple of times but won’t be happy after allowing three goals today.

LB: Junior Firpo – 6.5/10

CM: Jamie Shackleton – 6/10

Shackleton struggled to get a foothold in the game and got replaced near the hour mark.

CM: Adam Forshaw – 6.5/10

He regained possession back twice in midfield and engineered a key chance going forward.

CM: Jack Harrison – 6.5/10

The English talent was always looking to have a strike at goal and made one promising run from midfield.

CAM: Tyler Roberts – 7.5/10

Roberts got himself into some dangerous areas in the attacking end of the pitch and has got an assist to show for his efforts.

ST: Daniel James – 7.5/10

The Welsh attacker orchestrated two meaningful openings for his teammates in the final third and made a few impressive runs with the ball in the Chelsea half.

ST: Raphinha – 7/10

The Brazilian winger was a real headache for the Blues because of his dribbling and goal-threat. He scored a penalty and conceded a penalty in what proved to be a losing effort today.

CM: Mateusz Klich – 5.5/10

He struggled to get into the flow of the game.

ST: Joe Gelhardt – 7/10

Gelhardt came on to score with a great finish from point-blank range which almost rescued a point for the Whites.

CB: Charlie Cresswell – N/A

He hardly had any time to make an impact.
