Real Madrid welcomed Rayo Vallecano at the Santiago Bernabeu Stadium earlier today as they looked to collect maximum points from this home clash in La Liga. Los Blancos settled into the game well and netted the opening goal in the 14th minute when Toni Kroos scored with a great finish. Karim Benzema doubled his team’s advantage in the 38th minute when he tapped the ball in from close range. Carlo Ancelotti’s men went into the half-time interval two goals to the good.

Radamel Falcao managed to get a goal back for the visitors in the 76th minute but it turned out to be a consolation goal as Real Madrid secured a narrow 2-1 win in front of their home supporters.

Let’s take a look at how each Real Madrid player performed during the clash against Rayo Vallecano.

GK: Thibaut Courtois – 6.5/10

The Belgian keeper had to pull off a few solid saves at the back and deserves a pat on the back for restricting the opposition to just one goal.

RB: Dani Carvajal – 7/10

He produced a good defensive display inside his half and won the ball back quite a few times for his side. He even created two good chances for his teammates in the final third.

CB: Eder Militao – 6.5/10

The Brazilian centre-half made two crucial interceptions on the defensive end of the field. He also passed the ball accurately from the back.

CB: David Alaba – 7/10

Alaba didn’t take too many chances when clearing his lines and also picked up a good assist for setting up Benzema’s goal.
